This open position involves assessing properties by collecting data to determine value, including analyzing sales of vacant and improved properties, and evaluating physical and functional depreciation, grade, condition, desirability, and utility.
It performs intermediate technical appraising work under general supervision, reporting to the Real Property Supervisor.
Qualifications include knowledge of appraisal principles, current construction costs, land maps, and the ability to operate office equipment and a motor vehicle. Candidates must obtain certification as a County Real Property Appraiser within one year.
Additional requirements include a pre-employment drug test, SBI fingerprinting, and background checks.
