Summary
Join our team as a Real Estate Title Agent V and play a key role in supporting land rights and title research activities within a high-volume real estate environment. This position focuses on reviewing conveyance documents, conducting detailed title research, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of land rights through thorough due diligence. You will identify title deficiencies, support curative actions, and maintain accurate documentation while following established processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret conveyance documents including fee simple, rights-of-way, easements, leases, licenses, permits, and releases.
- Perform internal and external due diligence to ensure the accuracy and completeness of land rights documentation.
- Identify deficiencies in title and land records and recommend or initiate appropriate curative actions.
- Conduct title research in courthouses and government offices and prepare accurate chains of title.
- Read, interpret, and validate legal land descriptions and ownership records.
- Prepare and maintain spreadsheets to support real estate and right-of-way activities.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize workload effectively while adapting to changing priorities.
- Follow established policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure consistency and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in the Right-of-Way or Real Estate industry.
- At least 1 year of experience working as a Title Agent.
- Strong knowledge of settlement instruments and contract terms.
- Ability to read and interpret legal land descriptions.
- Proven experience performing land title research in courthouse and government records.
- Experience preparing and analyzing chains of title.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently under pressure.
