Job Details

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Manage and review complex tax returns for partnerships, LLCs, S corporations, and high-net-worth individuals with significant real estate holdings
  • Provide tax planning and consulting on real estate transactions, acquisitions, dispositions, like-kind exchanges, and entity structuring
  • Advise clients on partnership taxation, depreciation strategies, cost segregation, passive activity rules, and other real estate-specific tax matters
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax projections for real estate entities and ownership groups
  • Serve as the primary client contact and build strong, long-term relationships across the portfolio
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff and senior associates
  • Manage multiple concurrent engagements and deadlines without dropping the ball
  • Research and interpret federal and state tax laws affecting real estate clients
  • Support partners on practice development and client growth initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • CPA required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of recent public accounting tax experience, with a focus on real estate clients
  • Strong background in partnership taxation and real estate-specific tax concepts including 1031 exchanges, depreciation, cost segregation, and pass-through entities
  • Prior experience reviewing returns and managing or mentoring staff
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
  • Strong client-facing communication skills and the ability to build lasting advisory relationships
  • Comfortable working independently while staying collaborative within a team
