Our firm is seeking a full-time Post-Closing Assistant to join our Real Estate Department. This role supports the processing of final recorded documents, title opinions, and title insurance policies for our clients. The position is essential to ensuring that all real estate transactions are finalized accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with required procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and process post-closing documents, including final title policies and closing packages
Handle final recorded documents, title opinions, and title insurance policies
Maintain accurate internal records and update case management systems
Communicate with banking and individual clients, as well as title insurance underwriters—primarily via email
Assist with annual 1099 reporting each January using online software
Organize and track files to ensure timely completion of all post-closing tasks
Provide general administrative support to the real estate team as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong typing and data-entry skills
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Professional communication and people skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Reliable work ethic and ability to work independently
Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
No prior legal experience required—training provided
Schedule & Compensation
Full-time position
Starting pay: $20 per hour
Overtime is rare but may be required; paid at time and a half
Eligible for firm-wide raises and bonuses after the 90-day probationary period
Benefits (after 90-day probationary period)
3 weeks of vacation per year (pro-rated for the first year)
6 days of personal time per year (pro-rated for the first year)
