Real Estate Attorney

Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick seeks a real estate associate with at least four years of commercial experience to handle sophisticated, challenging real estate matters for clients in Florida and nationwide. This position may be based in our Tampa or St. Petersburg office.The role will focus on negotiating and drafting commercial real estate documents, including (but not limited to) purchase agreements, commercial leases, easements, and land use documents. Candidates should have experience conducting real estate due diligence, including title insurance examination and issuance, title survey, and zoning review. Familiarity with financing and experience in real estate matters is required. Candidates must be admitted in good standing to the Florida Bar.Where You'll WorkThis position can sit in the Tampa or St. Petersburg offices.What You'll DoDraft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements, and other related deal documents, in line with client expectations and closing timelinesInterface with deal counsel and clients to obtain required documentationReview and negotiate financing agreements with lendersResearch legal matters as needed, including but not limited to corporate and real estate lawWhat We're Looking ForWe are looking for candidates who take a proactive approach and ownership of their work.
