Perform repair and preventive maintenance on railcar moving equipment and evaluating for other preventative maintenance items to address with the customer. Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical repairs and adjustments Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments Some troubleshooting on equipment may occasionally be required Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers on their repairs Develop and maintain long-lasting working relationships with customers Must be willing to work overtime as required by fluctuating workloads and available for after-hours calls as needed Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations. This role involves hands-on mechanical work in a shop environment. The employee must be able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
