    Description

    Overview:

    Coordinates and oversees daily workflow using assigned administrative and information technology systems to ensure the timely and accurate interpretation and communication of radiology studies.

    Responsibilities:
    1. Coordinates, monitors and supports the real-time workflow of radiology studies between D-H radiologists, ordering providers and contracted facilities.
    2. Using various IT systems, trouble-shoots and resolves issues related to image movement between facilities.
    3. Perform Help Desk functions for IT related issues within the department and will triage appropriately
    4. Facilitates the clinical communication between Radiologists and ordering providers to ensure clinical practice and American College of Radiology guidelines are met.
    5. Coordinates the timely protocoling of exams from contracted facilities.
    6. Responsible for creating and disseminating quality and performance reports to multiple organizations served by the department.
    7. Responsible for benchmarking and reporting departmental performance against our contractual commitments.
    8. All other duties as assigned
    Qualifications:
    • Associates degree preferred with two years of experience working within an office environment or customer service.
    • Must have excellent spelling and typing skills.
    • Must be able to communicate tactfully with a broad spectrum of professionals including physicians, nurses, technologists and administrative staff.
    • Must be comfortable working in a high-volume, fast paced environment.
    • Must be able to independently prioritize and re-prioritize a time-sensitive workload.
    • Knowledge of word processing and ability to quickly learn new Information Technology systems.
    • Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
