Position Overview

As a Full Time Radiologic Technologist, you will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in radiologic procedures, and committed to delivering outstanding patient care.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures according to physician orders
  • Prepare patients for imaging exams by explaining procedures and addressing questions or concerns
  • Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images
  • Operate radiology equipment safely and efficiently while following established imaging protocols
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
  • Review images for quality and accuracy before submission to the interpreting physician
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within the electronic medical record
  • Monitor patient condition during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain imaging equipment and report maintenance or repair needs promptly
  • Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and infection prevention protocols
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout every interaction

Education & Certification Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
  • Current Kansas Radiologic Technologist licensure or eligibility for licensure
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Previous radiology experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety practices
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hospital-based radiology experience
  • Experience with digital radiography and PACS systems
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic image quality
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Exceptional customer service and patient care skills
