A Radiology Technician (Radiologic Technologist) performs diagnostic imaging, such as X-rays, using ionizing radiation while ensuring patient safety (ALARA standards).
Key Responsibilities
Imaging & Procedures:Perform X-rays, fluoroscopy, and other diagnostic images while applying ionizing radiation safety protocols (ALARA).
Patient Care:Prepare, transfer, and position patients, ensuring modesty and comfort.
Equipment Management:Operate, calibrate, andmaintainimaging equipment, including Computed Radiology (CR) units andensuringproper shielding.
Technical Proficiency:Selectappropriate exposurefactors to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Documentation:Accurately update patient records and clinical history in systems like MEDITECH.
This position will transition to a Nights role
Qualifications
Education:Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Certification:Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
Licensure:State-specific license (e.g., Florida Department of Health CRT licensure).
Basic Life Support (BLS):American Heart Association BLS certificationrequired.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
Must be able to assistin lifting and transferring patients.
May require working evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts
