Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 11:30 AM–8:00 PM
Sign-On Bonus: $7,500

 

Join our Imaging Services team as a Breast Care Navigator / Radiologic Technologist, where you’ll play a meaningful role in both diagnostic imaging and patient-centered care. In this position, you’ll perform high-quality radiologic and mammography procedures while also serving as a compassionate guide for patients throughout their breast health journey—from screening and diagnosis through follow-up care.

 

This role blends strong technical imaging expertise with care coordination, education, and advocacy. You’ll work closely with radiologists, providers, and support staff to ensure patients receive timely, accurate imaging and the support they need during critical moments in their care.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic radiology and mammography imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the exam process.
  • Prepare imaging equipment, position patients appropriately, and obtain accurate diagnostic images according to physician orders and department protocols.
  • Follow radiation safety standards and ALARA principles to minimize exposure while maintaining image quality.
  • Accurately document exams, imaging results, and patient information within radiology systems, including RIS, PACS, and mammography reporting platforms.
  • Serve as a patient advocate by guiding patients through breast imaging, biopsy follow-up, diagnosis, and ongoing care coordination.
  • Provide education, emotional support, and resources to patients and families, helping connect them with clinical, financial, and community support services as needed.
  • Coordinate and schedule follow-up imaging, procedures, and supportive appointments to ensure continuity of care.
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot imaging equipment, reporting malfunctions and supporting quality control and calibration activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, referring providers, and interdisciplinary team members to support timely diagnosis and exceptional patient care.
  • Respond calmly and efficiently to patient needs, urgent situations, and workflow demands while maintaining quality and service standards.
Qualifications:

Education: 

  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • Two or more years of Mammography experience

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Current ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist required
  • Current ARRT Mammography certification/registration required
  • Current Iowa Permit to Practice in Radiology required
