Directs and coordinates the daily activities of assigned department, including budget, personnel, patient care, and regulatory compliance. Acts as a liaison between their assigned department and the referring physicians offices. May work with neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. In Cardiology Services, the Nuclear Medicine supervisor serves adult and geriatric patients.
Requirements for Nuclear Medicine Technologist Position
To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
• Must be a graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program, accredited ultrasonography program, accredited radiologic technology program, or accredited MRI technology program.
• Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, or Registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT), or Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or Registration as a MRI Technologist by ARRT, or AMRIT, or Registration as a CT Technologist by ARRT.
• Three or more years of clinical experience.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Associations Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
