Radiology Specialist - X-Ray Tech

Location: Cypress, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $54.00/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Dean's Professional Services is seeking an experienced Radiology Specialist - X-Ray Tech to join a leading healthcare organization in Cypress, TX. Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiographic procedures as ordered by licensed providers.

   

• Produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accuracy.

   

• Verify patient identity, pregnancy status (when applicable), and informed consent prior to imaging procedures.

   

• Prepare and position patients appropriately based on age, condition, and exam requirements.

   

• Assess patient history, laboratory results, medications, and other factors that may impact imaging procedures.

   

• Administer contrast media when appropriate according to physician orders and established protocols.

   

• Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures and respond promptly to their needs.

   

• Maintain imaging rooms, equipment, and supply inventory to support efficient daily workflow.

   

• Operate radiology equipment, RIS, and PACS systems while troubleshooting minor equipment issues as needed.

   

• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality at all times.

   

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

   

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology program (Technical Diploma required).

   

• ARRT (R) Certification required.

   

• Texas Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) license required.

   

• Minimum 3 years of radiology experience across one or more imaging modalities.

   

• Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning, anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiation safety, and imaging techniques.

   

• Experience using RIS and PACS systems.

   

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

   

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
