Radiology Specialist - X-Ray Tech
Location: Bellaire, TX
Pay Rate: Starting at $54.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Dean's Professional Services is seeking an experienced Radiology Specialist - X-Ray Tech to join a leading healthcare organization in Bellaire, TX. Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiographic procedures as ordered by licensed providers.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accuracy.
- Verify patient identity, pregnancy status (when applicable), and informed consent prior to imaging procedures.
- Prepare and position patients appropriately based on age, condition, and exam requirements.
- Assess patient history, laboratory results, medications, and other factors that may impact imaging procedures.
- Select and administer contrast media when appropriate according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation within RIS and PACS systems.
- Ensure imaging rooms remain clean, organized, and fully stocked to support efficient workflow.
- Operate radiology equipment safely while troubleshooting minor equipment issues as needed.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining confidentiality and excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology program (Technical Diploma required).
- ARRT (R) Certification required.
- Texas Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) license required.
- Minimum 3 years of radiology experience across one or more imaging modalities.
- Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning, anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiation safety, and imaging techniques.
- Experience using RIS and PACS systems.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to patient care.
