We are seeking a hands-on Manager, Imaging Clinic Operations to support imaging services across our orthopedic clinics. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both clinical work and operational leadership in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
This is a working leadership role that combines imaging responsibilities with oversight of daily workflow, staffing coordination, equipment management, training, and operational support across multiple clinic locations.
Position Summary
The Manager, Imaging Clinic Operations helps oversee the day-to-day performance of imaging services across Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, including X-ray and MRI operations.
This role works closely with providers, technologists, and operational leadership to help maintain efficient workflows, high-quality imaging services, strong patient experience, and smooth clinic operations. The position includes both clinical imaging responsibilities and operational oversight.
The ideal candidate is adaptable, solutions-oriented, comfortable wearing multiple hats, and willing to step into clinic workflow where needed to support the team.
Key Responsibilities
Imaging & Clinic Operations
- Perform diagnostic imaging duties including X-ray and MRI coverage as needed
- Support daily imaging workflow across multiple clinic locations
- Help coordinate imaging schedules, staffing coverage, and patient flow
- Troubleshoot operational issues in real time to keep clinics running efficiently
- Assist with improving workflow, turnaround times, and overall clinic efficiency
- Collaborate with providers and clinic leadership to support high-quality patient care
Equipment & Quality Support
- Help ensure imaging equipment remains functional, compliant, and properly maintained
- Coordinate service requests, preventive maintenance, and vendor communication as needed
- Support imaging quality standards, radiation safety practices, and operational consistency
- Assist with workflow integration between imaging systems and EMR platforms
Billing, Documentation & Workflow Oversight
- Help ensure imaging visits are appropriately documented, routed, and completed within workflow processes
- Support imaging-related workflow coordination between technologists, providers, and administrative teams
- Assist with maintaining organized and efficient imaging operations across clinic locations
Staff Support & Training
- Assist with onboarding and training new imaging staff
- Provide day-to-day guidance and workflow support for technologists and clinic teams
- Help foster a positive, mission-driven, team-oriented environment
- Support cross-training initiatives and operational consistency between clinic locations

Schedule
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, with flexibility for coverage as needed.
- On-site presence required at Genesis clinic locations.
Compensation
- 70,000 - 80,000 annual salary based on experience
Requirements
- ARRT certification required
- Active Illinois license required
- Orthopedic or outpatient imaging experience (strongly preferred)
- Previous lead tech, supervisor, or imaging operations experience (strongly preferred)
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable traveling between clinic locations as needed
- Ability to adapt quickly and support evolving operational needs
