Title: MRI Technologist (MRI Tech)
Location: Burlington, VT 05401
Duration: 13 weeks (assignment may extend up to 32 weeks)
Shift: Night shift | 3x12 hours | 19:00 – 07:00


Job Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI examinations for adult patients in acute care and outpatient settings

  • Conduct imaging of the abdomen, pelvis, chest, breast, head, neck, brain, and spine

  • Perform advanced MRI procedures including diffusion imaging, gradient echo imaging, perfusion studies, and image post-processing

  • Complete multiplanar reconstructions and apparent diffusion coefficient (Client) mapping

  • Operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment from Client, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, and PACS systems

  • Maintain patient safety, including strict adherence to isolation precautions and PPE protocols

  • Ensure high-quality image acquisition and accurate documentation in Epic

  • Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

  • Administer MRI procedures across cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine studies

  • Demonstrate age-specific competency for young adult, middle adult, and older adult populations

  • Work flexible schedules, including 1–2 weekends per month

  • Work at least 2 designated major holidays during the assignment as required


Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience

  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification (advanced MRI licensure required)

  • BLS certification

  • Epic charting experience within the past 2 years (required and non-negotiable)

  • Philips MRI equipment experience required

  • Teaching hospital experience required

  • Prior travel experience required (no first-time travelers)

  • Ability to perform advanced MRI imaging and post-processing techniques

  • Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and patient care protocols

  • Reliable personal transportation required (public transportation not accessible)

  • Ability to work night shifts and maintain schedule flexibility


Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Additional MRI equipment experience (Client, Siemens, Toshiba)

  • Prior experience in adult acute care imaging environments
