Radiology / Cardiology – Interventional Radiology

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
Schedule: 4x10 Day Shifts with call rotation, holiday rotation, and every fourth weekend call coverage

Position Overview:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist will assist physicians during diagnostic and minimally invasive interventional procedures in both Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology settings. The technologist is responsible for maintaining sterile technique, operating fluoroscopy equipment, supporting procedural workflow, and ensuring safe patient care throughout all procedures.
Job duties:
- Assist physicians during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile procedural fields and scrub during invasive procedures
- Operate fluoroscopy and radiologic imaging equipment during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and recognize changes in patient condition
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, supplies, and contrast materials for daily cases
- Maintain radiation safety practices and ensure compliance with procedural safety standards
- Assist with patient positioning, transfer, and procedural preparation
- Perform CPR and emergency response duties when required
- Document procedural information and support efficient workflow within the procedural suite
Requirements:
Licensure:
- Current Ohio State Radiologic Technologist License required
- ARRT registration required
Experience:
- Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology procedural experience required
- Scrub experience required
- Fluoroscopy experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
Certifications:
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
Other requirement:
- Completion of formal radiologic technology training from an AMA-approved school required
- Ability to take on-call assignments including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of radiation safety and radiology procedures required
- Must have strong manual dexterity and ability to perform procedural support duties
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and transfer up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach frequently
- Visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable
- Ability to hear and communicate effectively required
