Immediate need for a talented Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech). This is a 03+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Lawrenceville, GA(Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested. Job ID: 26-15280 Pay Range: $48/hr - $52/hour. Key Responsibilities: Insert intravenous (IV) lines in preparation for radiologic studies. Perform imaging for myelograms, therapeutic chemotherapy, venograms, arthrograms, and other studies requiring IV or subdural injection of contrast medium. Assist physicians with biopsy and aspiration procedures using sterile technique; set up sterile trays with required supplies and instruments. Provide on-call support for Operating Room and GI Lab as scheduled. Assist with transportation of patients to and from Emergency Room and In-Patient areas. Perform portable XRay imaging as ordered. Determine proper technical factors and adjust radiographic equipment accordingly. Assess patient condition throughout procedures and observe for adverse reactions; recognize and respond to emergency situations per departmental procedures. Practice proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital policies; immediately report equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or injuries to manager. Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR. Consistent 12-hour night shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week (weekend block: S/S/M) Opportunity to work in a dedicated radiology department at a leading hospital Perform a wide variety of diagnostic and specialized radiographic procedures Supportive, team-oriented environment Prime Lawrenceville, GA location – suburban comfort near Atlanta Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Key skills; Radiologic Technologist, Rad Tech, ARRT, BLS, Cerner, X-Ray, Fluoroscopy Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology Active ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) AHA BLS certification (required) Minimum 2 years of recent experience within radiologic technology specialty Ability to work 12-hour night shifts – weekend schedule: Saturday, Sunday, Monday (7:00pm – 7:30am) Proficiency with Cerner EMR system No local candidates within 50 miles Ability to deal tactfully and pleasantly with patients, visitors, physicians, and other personnel Strong knowledge of radiographic equipment, technical factors, and safety standards Proficient in IV insertion and contrast media administration Competence in sterile technique for procedural assistance Excellent patient assessment and emergency response skills Ability to work independently in hospital areas requiring autonomy Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment Our client is a leading Healthcare Industry, and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
