CT Technologist
Schedule
- Shift: 6:00 PM 6:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call required
- Block scheduling available (must include weekends)
Job Summary
Performs CT imaging procedures under general supervision, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and comfort. May also perform general radiology procedures as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans and diagnostic imaging procedures
- Prepare and position patients for examinations
- Administer IV contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
- Operate CT equipment and maintain image quality standards
- Assist radiologists with advanced diagnostic procedures
- Complete PACS and RIS documentation accurately
- Follow radiation safety and ALARA guidelines
- Transport patients to and from the Emergency Department as needed
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Applied Science in Radiology
- Minimum 1 year of hospital-based CT experience
- ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification
- Peripheral IV insertion experience or willingness to complete training
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and patient care skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in high-volume hospital settings
- Prior experience with patient transport and emergency department workflows
