Description and Functions
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is seeking an R3 Coordinator based in Cheyenne, WY. This position leads Game and Fish efforts to ensure long-term participation in hunting and angling through strategic recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) initiatives. The position oversees and coordinates statewide R3 programs and evaluates and refines department efforts to optimize participation outcomes and support the future of Wyoming's hunting and angling traditions.
The position will build upon established R3 efforts and work collaboratively across the organization to implement and enhance in-person programs, multi-day residential outdoor skills camps, digital information campaigns, public outreach efforts, and strategic partnerships to maintain agency relevance to a diverse group of stakeholders. This position will play a key role in advancing Wyoming Game and Fish Department R3 strategic planning goals by increasing accessibility to the sports of hunting and angling and utilizing data-driven evaluation methods to improve program effectiveness, efficiency, and long-term success.

Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to candidates with 2-4 years of experience coordinating or managing R3 programs, outreach initiatives, or outdoor education programs related to hunting, angling, wildlife conservation, or outdoor recreation.

Bachelors Degree (typically in Public Relations)
Experience:
0-3 years of progressive work experience (typically in Public Relations) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Public Relations Specialist II
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
4-6 years of progressive work experience (typically in Public Relations) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Public Relations Specialist II
