Responsibilities:
Execute manufacturing and inspection operations in accordance with approved work instructions, routings, and drawings to ensure product meets quality and customer requirements.
Perform in‑process and final inspections using appropriate measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gages, CMMs, optical systems) and record results accurately.
Document, and escalate nonconforming material through established NCR processes, providing clear defect descriptions and supporting data.
Support root cause investigations by supplying factual data, observations, and process history to engineering and quality teams.
Follow control plans, inspection plans, and sampling requirements as defined; flag gaps or inconsistencies to supervision or engineering.
Maintain accurate production and quality records in manufacturing systems (e.g., Opcenter, Oracle, inspection logs).
Assist with first article inspections (FAI), setup verification, and process validations under guidance from engineering or quality.
Ensure proper handling, labeling, and segregation of conforming and nonconforming material on the shop floor.
Adhere to AS9100, safety, ESD, and cleanliness requirements at all times.
Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying waste, variation, or recurring defects and suggesting practical improvements.
Support audits by providing records, demonstrating processes, and answering questions related to daily manufacturing activities.
Maintain work area organization and equipment condition to support efficient, repeatable operations (5S).
Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Supervisors to resolve day‑to‑day production and quality issues.
Qualifications:
Degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
Minimum 3 year of hands‑on experience in Manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in process development and characterization.
Ability to program precision assembly equipment.
Experience in setting up and running DOE, Failure analysis, and performing data analysis.
Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
Qualified to work in an ITAR facility
Familiarity with quality engineering
Familiarity with CAD Design and Layout (Preference).
