We are on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Permanent R&D Engineer to join our innovative team in the Manufacturing industry. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in the field of engineering, with a focus on the development and implementation of new technologies and processes. This role will be instrumental in driving the future of our company, with a strong emphasis on innovation, efficiency, and the continual improvement of our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies, with a focus on improving efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing product quality.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to design and visualize complex manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Work closely with the production team to implement new processes and technologies, and to troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Conduct research into new technologies and materials, and assess their feasibility for use in our manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including sales and marketing, to understand customer needs and to develop products that meet these needs.
  • Ensure all new processes and technologies comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, outlining the findings and recommendations of your research and development activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the R&D team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  • Strong knowledge of electromechanical systems and their application in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative and innovative approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to work well in a team, and to lead and mentor junior staff.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to deliver results on time and on budget.
