This is a one-year position for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year in Hyannis, MA, as a Community Mentor.
Job Goal: To foster a positive, safe school culture aligned with core values; strengthen student-staff relationships; support at-risk students; increase diversity among adult role models from underrepresented communities; and enhance community connection to the school.
Qualifications:
- Strong relationship-building skills with school-aged students
- Effective communication with adults
- Experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds and socio-economic statuses
Responsibilities:
- Mentor students across schools and connect them to community resources
- Assist staff in cultivating a positive school environment
- De-escalate conflicts calmly and appropriately
- Participate in mentor training during onboarding
Compensation: $35/hour, up to 15 hours per week, unpaid affiliation.
