Palm Beach Skate Zone is looking for a motivated, reliable, and hands-on Center Ice Kitchen Manager to lead the full operations of our quick service restaurant inside a busy sports and entertainment facility.

This is a great opportunity for someone with restaurant or food service leadership experience who is ready to take ownership of an important department. The Center Ice Kitchen serves skaters, hockey players, families, birthday parties, camps, private rentals, special events, and facility guests throughout the week.

We are looking for someone who can lead the day-to-day kitchen operations, manage and train staff, oversee inventory and food safety, support sales growth, and help create a positive guest experience. This position also works closely with other department heads on birthday parties, camps, hockey events, skating events, private rentals, and other facility-wide programming.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, customer-focused, and comfortable running the kitchen like their own mini restaurant within Palm Beach Skate Zone while also being a strong team player across the facility.

The Center Ice Kitchen Manager reports to the General Managers and Assistant General Managers and works closely with other department heads to help keep Palm Beach Skate Zone running smoothly. We are a very team-oriented facility, and every department plays an important role in keeping this well-oiled machine working at its best.


Responsibilities include:
  • Managing the full day-to-day operations of the Center Ice Kitchen
  • Leading, training, scheduling, and supervising kitchen staff
  • Overseeing food preparation, presentation, quality, and consistency
  • Maintaining food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards
  • Managing food purchasing, inventory, stock levels, and FIFO procedures
  • Monitoring product usage, waste, and food costs
  • Creating and improving menu items, specials, and seasonal offerings
  • Helping grow food and beverage sales through birthday parties, camps, private rentals, public skating, hockey, and special events
  • Working closely with General Managers, Assistant General Managers, and other department heads to support events and facility programming
  • Coordinating food needs for birthday parties, group events, private rentals, camps, and internal events
  • Ensuring orders are completed accurately and efficiently during busy periods
  • Creating a friendly, professional, and welcoming experience for guests
  • Maintaining a positive, team-focused work environment
  • Communicating clearly with management, staff, and other departments
  • Helping identify ways to improve service, efficiency, sales, and the overall guest experience

What we are looking for:

  • Previous restaurant, quick service restaurant, concession, or food service management experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A hands-on manager who is willing to jump in wherever needed
  • Someone who can take ownership of an entire department while still working as part of a larger team
  • Ability to stay organized and calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety procedures and proper kitchen operations
  • Someone creative who can bring new ideas to the menu and guest experience
  • Ability to work well with staff, customers, General Managers, Assistant General Managers, and other department heads
  • Dependable, professional, and solution-focused

Preferred experience:

  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • 5+ years of restaurant, quick service restaurant, concession, or food service experience
  • Experience managing a team, schedule, inventory, and food costs

Requirements:

  • Driver s License required
  • Food Manager Certification required or must be obtained
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
  • Must be able to work in person at Palm Beach Skate Zone in Lake Worth, FL
  • Must be able to work weekdays, weeknights, weekends & holidays
