Quick Lane Technician Helper

Job Description

The Quick Lane Technician Helper will work under the supervision of the QL Commission technicians and will service vehicles following all established standards and procedures, which includes fluid exchange, brakes, steering, suspension, alignments, engine performance, tires, air conditioning, electrical and other repair work.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of experience, a clean driving record, and an aptitude for vehicle repair. Candidates must be able to manage time effectively and must have good attention to detail and appropriate dress, speech, and behavior. Ford Certifications a plus.
 

Responsibilities

• Is an attentive student to the journey-level technician
• Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs
• Checks all fluids and maintenance-related parts and tops-off or replaces fluids or filters/parts as required
• Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• One year of vehicle service repair experience preferred
• Knowledge of automotive servicing or repair highly desired
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
• Basic computer and internet skills
• Ford Certifications a plus

Quick Lane Schedule

Must be available to work a schedule Monday - Saturday with M-F 7:30 - 5 and Saturday 8-5.
