We seek a senior mechanical infrastructure engineer to lead the co-development of safe, cost-effective, and efficient architectures for complex quantum datacenters that mix high density water cooled electronic, cryogenic quantum systems, and the unique mechanical and environmental constraints needed to build and operate some of the most sensitive computational equipment in the world. You will own the physical realization of these systems as well - floor space and equipment layout, structural and mass-loading constraints, below-grade and site considerations, and the footprint efficiency needed to scale across a campus. The ideal candidate will navigate complex trade spaces in co-design to drive decisions across datacenter infrastructure, equipment design, initial build, commissioning, testing, monitoring, and operations. They will work with both internal and external teams throughout the design, build, and operating phases of these data centers. Hands-on experience with high-reliability critical infrastructure including chilled water plants and distribution, redundant power systems, and specialized environmental controls in datacenter, manufacturing, or research environments is a must.
