Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Quality/Test Engineer 2. The work will be done onsite in Green Valley, AZ. This is a long-term 12-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $40/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
Cullerton Group is seeking a Quality/Test Engineer to support the maintenance, repair, testing, and operational readiness of a fleet of heavy equipment and support machinery within a large-scale demonstration and training facility. This role will focus on equipment troubleshooting, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, assembly and disassembly activities, and supporting new product evaluations. The engineer will work closely with operations personnel, technicians, and product support teams to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and performance. This position offers hands-on exposure to advanced construction and mining equipment while contributing to equipment validation, maintenance excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and diagnostic activities on heavy equipment and support machinery
• Conduct equipment assembly, disassembly, loading, and unloading activities to support fleet operations and testing programs
• Support equipment evaluations and serviceability assessments for new product introduction initiatives
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, attachments, parts, repairs, and maintenance activities
• Train facility personnel on equipment systems, maintenance procedures, and repair best practices while ensuring adherence to safety and contamination control standards
Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications are highly valued
• Experience in heavy equipment maintenance, repair, testing, troubleshooting, or related mechanical roles
• Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing construction, mining, agricultural, or industrial equipment
• Experience using diagnostic tools, applications, and troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve equipment issues
• Welding experience and/or welding certification
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform assembly and disassembly of heavy equipment systems
• Ability to lift 10–15 pounds as needed and work in a hands-on shop environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Technical certifications in diesel technology, heavy equipment maintenance, welding, hydraulics, or related disciplines
• Experience supporting construction, mining, or other heavy equipment fleets
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs, service documentation, and equipment inspections
• Familiarity with manufacturing operations, equipment testing, and product evaluation activities
• Experience working with OEM dealers, product support organizations, or heavy equipment manufacturers
