CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking a Quality Technician II to support laboratory and quality operations in a regulated pharmaceutical/manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on microbiology, environmental monitoring, and quality control testing experience who thrive in a fast-paced laboratory setting. Type: Contract Job Title: Quality Technician II Location: Durham, NC Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Durham, NC Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Education: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field Key Responsibilities • Perform environmental monitoring of water, air, and surfaces to support contamination control programs • Conduct microbiological and analytical testing including TOC, Gram staining, sterility, endotoxin, particulate count, bioburden, and growth promotion testing • Support product release testing and ensure compliance with GMP and quality standards • Review and document laboratory test results accurately within data management systems • Assist with investigations, CAPAs, deviations, and corrective actions • Maintain laboratory inventory, supplies, and reagents • Support equipment qualifications, assay validations, and SOP updates • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization, including autoclaving and glassware washing • Coordinate testing schedules and assist in training new laboratory personnel Required Qualifications • 2-3 years of laboratory experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments • Experience with investigations, CAPAs, and GMP documentation • Knowledge of microbiological testing methods and aseptic laboratory practices • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and technical documentation abilities • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Additional Information • No third party resumes will be accepted • Drug testing and/or other employment-related inquiries may be conducted • CTG will consider for employment-qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of all applicable local, state, and federal laws. • All interested individuals MUST be able to work on a W2 Tax basis (no C2C or third party vendors) • CTG is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer • CTG is an E-Verify Company To be considered for this opportunity, please apply directly through our website by clicking the link below.
