Role: Quality Technician

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Technician with a strong background in heavy equipment maintenance, diagnostics, repair, and assembly. This role is responsible for supporting equipment readiness, maintenance operations, training initiatives, and new product introduction activities while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Education
Required:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
• Postsecondary education is a plus but not required.
Certifications
Preferred:
• Technical certifications related to heavy equipment maintenance, repair, diagnostics, or welding are highly preferred. Please ensure all relevant certifications are included on the candidate’s
resume.
Required Qualifications
• Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment.
• Welding experience and/or current welding certification.
• Experience performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs using diagnostic software, tools, and mobile applications.
• Experience assembling and disassembling heavy equipment, preferably within construction, mining, or related industries.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on demonstration fleet equipment, learning center assets, and support equipment to ensure maximum operational readiness.
• Train facility personnel on equipment systems, preventive maintenance practices, and repair procedures.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives by assisting with serviceability evaluations of pre-production machines.
• Assemble and disassemble heavy equipment and components as required.
• Safely load and unload equipment during transportation, delivery, and departure activities.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, attachments, inventory, and replacement parts.
• Ensure service bays remain clean, organized, and compliant with Contamination Control Guidelines.
• Complete service letter requirements and perform corrective actions on Caterpillar fleet assets.
• Partner with product groups and internal stakeholders to provide ongoing support for the Tinaja Hills facility and equipment fleet.
