Title: Quality Technician (QT), Entry

Details:
  • Status: Full-Time, Regular Salary, Exempt
  • Schedule: 0800hrs – 1630hrs; M-F
  • Location: On-Site, Aberdeen, MD 21001
  • Supervisory: No
Key Roles/Duties:
  • Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections
  • Verify labeling and packaging adhere to anticipated guidelines for accuracy and compliance set forth by the Company
  • Follow established work instructions and Travelers
  • Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and multimeters after training
  • Identify and report nonconformances
  • Record and maintain organized and accurate inspection results
  • Support internal and external audit activities
  • Adhere to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and safety requirements
  • Assist with First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) under supervision
  • Learn and apply Company quality procedures and standards
  • Participate in required training and development activities
  • Maintain an organized and clean inspection area
  • Communicate quality concerns effectively to appropriate points of contact (POCs)
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist senior inspectors, as needed
  •  Cross-train in assembly areas, as needed
  • All other duties, as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
  • Ability to learn drawings and specifications
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to interpret basic drawings
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work independently, after training
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Willingness to obtain Institute of Printed Circuits (IPC) certifications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in a related field
  • Two (2) years manufacturing/inspection experience
  • Previous electronics manufacturing experience
  • International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001/AS9100 familiarity
  • IPC-A-610 certification
  •  IPC J-STD-001 certification
  • Previous experience with inspection tools
  • Previous Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience
  • Basic ESD knowledge

  • None anticipated at this time
