The Quality Technician is responsible for performing product evaluations and inspections, recording inspection results, supporting ISO 9001:2015 operations including corrective action investigations, and developing associated quality documentation to ensure all products meet quality expectations.
Primary Duties:
Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality requirements
Participate in nonconformance and product rejection investigations
Participate in audits of MFCP's quality system
Support customer on-site audits of MFCPs quality systems and other processes and procedures
Participate in leadership meetings and communicate quality concerns to the team
Participate and assist in customer contract reviews, specifically quality standard requirements
Work with the quality departments of customers and suppliers to assure compliance with all applicable quality standards
Perform product inspections and complete quality documentation including but not limited to Part Submission Warrants, First Article Inspections, Certificates of Conformance and Production Parts Approval Process documents
Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner
Suggest process and product improvements when and where applicable
Complete corrective action investigations as necessary
Support calibration activities as necessary
Support compliance documentation generation such as (REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, etc.)
Provide superior customer service and support company goals
Adhere to strict Safety Guidelines

Basic Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, with three (3) years previous experience preferred
Previous background should include knowledge of product inspection and quality documentation generation as well as a demonstrated ability to work well with customers and suppliers
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (TD&Y) experience preferred
Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required
Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
Strong computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus
Excellent technical and math abilities
Must be a good listener with above average reasoning ability and make minimal mistakes
Experience with distribution and familiarity with our product lines, a plus
Must be able to work with a wide variety of people and personalities
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
As MFCP is a small employer and employees work in a collaborative team environment, employee must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Job requires frequent lifting up to 70 pounds, stooping, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling, constantly walking/standing on cement flooring and climbing ladders as needed. Work environment mainly office, but may vary including: warehouse containing moving equipment, fluctuating temperature and inventory in various storage arrangements, office work, manufacturing, machine shops, agricultural operations, and any other specific business operations of current or potential vendors and customers. The physical demands and work environments reflected are representative of those encountered by employees when performing the essential job functions. Salary: $25- $28 hourly | Commensurate with skills and experience.
