Position Summary

We are seeking a Quality Technician with hands-on experience in PCB-based electronics to support testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis of production and returned products.

This role focuses on diagnosing printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) issues, assisting in root cause investigations, and supporting product quality and continuous improvement activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, and comfortable working directly with electronic hardware in a lab environment.

Key Responsibilities

PCB Testing & Troubleshooting
  • Troubleshoot and debug PCB assemblies using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies)
  • Probe signals, trace circuits, and identify component-level failures
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical documentation to isolate issues
Failure Analysis (RMA & Production Support)
  • Support analysis of returned products (RMA) and in-process failures
  • Assist with identifying failure modes and contributing to root cause investigations
  • Document findings and communicate results to engineering and quality teams
Repair, Rework & Validation
  • Perform PCB rework including component replacement and soldering (SMT and through-hole)
  • Conduct functional testing to verify repairs and corrective actions
  • Ensure products meet performance, quality, and safety requirements
Lab & Engineering Support
  • Assist engineers with product testing, validation, and quality checks
  • Maintain organized lab workspace and ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
  • Record test data, maintain logs, and update technical documentation
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Customer Service teams
  • Provide feedback on recurring issues and observed failure trends
Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • 1-3+ years of experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, or manufacturing support
  • Basic understanding of analog and digital circuits
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
  • Hands-on soldering and PCB rework experience (SMT and/or through-hole preferred)
  • Exposure to manufacturing, test, or failure analysis environments
