Quality Technician

Day Shift: work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, off 3 days (6am to 6pm)

Pay: $22.50/hr. with increase opportunities after 120 days

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience with quality experience; preferably within the printing, food, or regulated industry with knowledge of GMP's (21CFR 110/111/210/211)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Ability to work rotating shift 2-2-3-3; including weekends when scheduled
  • Prior experience in the food environment is beneficial
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, stoop, bend, twist and lift up to 50 pounds.

Job Functions:

  • Responsible for monitoring and identifying critical control points (CCP) within the processes.
  • Responsible for monitoring processes and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Responsible for the correct documentation and filing of all relevant record logs and Documentation.
  • Ensures the correct recipe guidelines for products are met during processing.
  • Ensures employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices.
  • Ensures and educates employees on quality expectations.
  • Collect product samples for the Quality lab.
  • Perform inspections on in-process printing to ensure quality and accuracy of the print according to customer specifications.
  • Identifying non-conformances and ensuring they are corrected “real time” when feasible.
  • Working directly with Operations on the presses, slitter, lamination, etc. to identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring paperwork is accurate and filled out in a timely manner on the production lines.
