Quality Technician

Overview

Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Quality Technician, located in Austin Texas. Performs functions associated with quality control and quality assurance operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks and carrying out rework and quality assurance procedures related to production or operations. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate data to assist in assessing and documenting results of quality assurance and control processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures for quality assurance and control. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

          Essential Duties and Responsibilities – Other duties may be assigned.

o    Ensure effective inspection and testing procedures are implemented and maintained
o    Perform quality inspections of incoming and outgoing materials
o    Work with manufacturing to develop SOP’s
o    May perform audits in manufacturing areas and facilities according to established SOP’s
o    Maintain statistical quality control charts
o    Provide support on quality projects
o    Work independently with moderate supervision

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

o    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
o    Good problem solving skills
o    Good verbal and written communication skills
o    Good MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
o    Familiar with Agile system
o    Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Desired Education, Certifications and Experience

o    2-3+ years quality or related work experience  
o    High School Diploma or equivalent
o    Familiarity with GMP and ISO methods

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
