Summary:The Quality Assurance Technician plays a hands-on role in supporting daily production operations by ensuring product quality, food safety, and process consistency. Hours: Monday to Saturday 1:30am-10:00amPay: $23.50/hr.
Responsibilities:Perform in-process inspections, including pre-op and daily operational checks, to maintain GMP and USDA compliance
Monitor critical control points such as metal detectors, magnets, and sanitation systems
Conduct ATP swab testing to verify cleanliness and sanitation effectiveness
Calibrate production and lab equipment to ensure accurate measurements and product consistency
Perform line audits and product line coverage checks to maintain production quality
Review HACCP documentation daily and ensure proper recordkeeping
Inspect inbound materials and verify COAs meet required specifications
Identify, report, and follow up on production downtime, quality issues, and food safety concerns
Support smooth production flow by monitoring systems, documentation, and compliance
Maintain supply levels for lab and production areas
Ensure code date sheets are distributed accurately and on time
Collaborate with supervisors, production staff, and USDA representatives to maintain high-quality standards
Follow and enforce all GMP, PPE, and food safety requirements
Qualifications:Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills.
Effective at organizing and managing multiple work tasks of a diverse nature.
Strong organizational skills.
Must be able to work with frequently exposure to cold, wet and/or humid conditions
