Job Purpose
The position of Quality Technician is a member of the Quality Control Team for a food manufacturing facility and is responsible for monitoring production activities to assure the products and processes are meeting established limits by performing chemical and physical testing of products and packaging material.Â

- Adhere to and enforce all Good Manufacturing Practices, food safety and SQF requirements, as well as safety policies and procedures.
- Perform and/or provide support during food safety inspections including preoperational, operational, sanitation and facility GMP inspections and audits.
- Verify HACCP guidelines, GMP’s, SOP and quality procedures are being followed by all team members.
- Collect product samples in order to set-up and conduct quality checks as assigned.
- Interface with production personnel to make necessary adjustments and corrections on the line.
- Assist with company programs and initiatives as needed, such as calibration program and customer complaint investigations.
- Assume the responsibilities of the quality department in the absence of others, as well as assist other departments as needed.
- Must attend all company required training.Â

Qualifications

- Minimum of high school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 yrs or older
- At least 1 year of quality control/assurance experience in a high speed food manufacturing environment
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing specifications and quality standardsÂ
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, Allergens and Personal Protective EquipmentÂ
- Beginner to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred (Word, Excel and Access
- Basic math skills
- Detail oriented, accurate and organized
