Location:On-site (Auburn Hills)

Shifts Needed: Day (Monday- Friday 6a-4:45p + Saturday 6a-12p)

The Quality Systems Manager ensures that products and services meet consistent standards, overseeing quality assurance processes and driving continuous improvement across an organization while overseeing team members in a certain department to ensure it performing effectively. Their main duties include hiring and training employees, creating and implementing business strategies and delegating tasks to team members.

Managers will typically evaluate their department's current performance metrics and will develop plans, goals and strategies to help improve these metrics. They're also in charge of analyzing their staff's performances and aid and guidance to help these employees improve and advance in their career. They'll often provide performance reports on their department and team members to the leadership or executive teams.

Essential Functions:

Quality Systems Manager will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing quality control systems to ensure consistent product standards.
  • Monitor production processes and inspect outputs at various stages.
  • Identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives to enhance quality.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external standards (e.g., ISO, regulatory bodies).
  • Train and mentor staff on quality standards and procedures.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports on quality performance and issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and customer service.
  • Managing small project teams to develop, execute and complete assignments.
  • Organizing team roles and evaluating employee performance.
  • Documenting operational tasks and reporting to upper-level management.
  • Performing employee reviews and assessments.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding and training program.
  • Planning and development of projects.
  • Making operational and process decisions.
  • Solving problems creatively.
  • Organizing and delegating assignments to team members.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Managers may have prerequisite skills and qualifications such as exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards, business operations and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Aerospace industry experience is required.
  • Proven experience in quality management or quality assurance roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9100, AS9100, Six Sigma, or Lean methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and data analysis tools.
