The mission

Guard measurement integrity across our operations by verifying, documenting, and improving the accuracy of critical instruments.

Role details

  • Home base: Onsite, New Port Richey, FL
  • Team: Quality Assurance
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 2:45 PM–11:15 PM; overtime is routine

How you’ll contribute

  • Execute calibrations for micrometers, calipers, pin gages, thread plugs, thread rings, and height gages to ISO-9000 and ANSI Z540-1; kit gages after calibration.
  • Apply calibration criteria for ovens and related assets per AMS-2750 and ASTM E-29, as well as other manufacturing and measuring equipment.
  • Lead plant-wide calibration compliance audits; translate findings into updates on Value Stream daily management boards.
  • Coordinate internal instrument inventories, manage external calibration providers, and track status to closure.
  • Complete electronic entries for calibration certifications and verify documentation for completeness and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years in quality control, manufacturing, or metrology within Aerospace, Military, or Machining Manufacturing ISO9001/AS9100 environments.
  • Proven skill in interpreting complex engineering drawings; expert blueprint reading.

Preferred background

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and SAP or similar ERP.
  • Experience with GageTrak calibration software.
  • Ability to develop Gage R&R; familiarity with ISO 17025.
