The Quality Supervisor will oversee and coordinate daily Quality Department activities for direct reports, ensuring quality standards, planning, reporting, audits, and alignment with customer requirements. Support the execution and improvement of the Quality Management Department. Are You Looking To:Ensure adherence to schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.Oversee A, B & C testing, First Article Sample reporting, Metrology, Internal/External Auditing, Corrective Action Systems, and Incoming Quality.Select, develop, coach, and manage employees for effective operation of quality functions.Supervise personnel, including hiring, training, performance management, and career development.Assist in developing and maintaining quality objectives and key metrics to maximize product performance and reliability.Participate in establishing comprehensive quality plans and execute objectives through plant Quality Department.Collaborate with supply chain on supplier quality improvement initiatives.Interact with internal and external customers and co-workers.Recommend and initiate process improvements with manager approval.Drive direct reports to improve key performance indicators and execute corrective/preventive actions.Conduct timely employee performance reviews and provide recognition or address issues as needed.Act as backup for the Supervisor/Manager when unavailable.Maintain a safe working environment and promptly address hazardous situations.Provide planning, implementation, and oversight for direct report activities.Assist in developing written policies and procedures for QMS administration and operation.Assist in driving waste and inefficiencies out of processes.Assume other projects and responsibilities as directed.Assist in department representation in internal and external audits.Troubleshoot and solve issues with assistance as needed.Maintain positive working relationships within assigned teams and across departments.Regular and predictable attendance is presumed to be an essential function. What You'll Need:Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline (i.e., EE, ME, IE, BS, etc.) and/or demonstrated equivalent education and skills/experience.Five or more years of direct manufacturing background, five years of growth within the Quality function including supervisory experience.Must have working knowledge and experience with Quality Management Systems, Quality function management, Electronic Resource Planning, Product Realization systems, problem solving methodologies, continuous improvement philosophies, and Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing practices.Demonstrated superior written and verbal communication skills.Aptitude to work without close supervision.Ability to interface and work well with all levels of management personnel and across/down functional lines. Preferred QualificationsPrior management experience and quality discipline exposure to Telecommunication, Defense, Aerospace and Space products and respective flow down requirements.Proven success in managing Quality related programs and initiatives.Professional member (i.e., American Society for Quality, Black or Green Belt ASQ certification and related).
