Job Description:
The Supervisor, Quality is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that ensure employees understand and adhere to AAON’s quality standards and procedures. This role supports continuous improvement by equipping team members with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain product excellence and regulatory compliance.
The Supervisor collaborates with quality, production, and engineering teams to identify training needs and deliver effective learning solutions. This position plays a key role in fostering a culture of quality and operational excellence across the organization.
The Quality Training Supervisor leads the design and delivery of training programs focused on quality systems, inspection techniques, and compliance standards. This includes managing training documentation, evaluating effectiveness, and supporting onboarding and upskilling initiatives.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain quality training programs for new hires and existing employees.
- Coordinate and deliver training on quality standards, inspection procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with quality, production, and engineering teams to identify training needs and gaps.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Supervise quality trainers or training coordinators and provide coaching and support.
- Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by promoting best practices and quality awareness.
- Ensure training materials are current, accessible, and aligned with AAON’s quality objectives.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Education, or a related field.
- Preferred: Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Technician (CQT), or Training & Development credentials.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance or manufacturing training, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or instructional role.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Experience developing and delivering technical training in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems (LMS).
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
