This position will supervise a team of quality inspectors while partnering closely with production, engineering, project management, and leadership to ensure quality standards are consistently met. The role will also play a key part in improving quality processes, documentation, work instructions, and inspection procedures as the organization continues to grow.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in welding, fabrication, and manufacturing quality along with the leadership skills necessary to support both people and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise and support a team of quality inspectors
• Coordinate inspection priorities to support production schedules and project requirements
• Review fabrication drawings, welding documentation, specifications, and inspection requirements
• Work closely with production, engineering, project management, and leadership to address quality concerns and drive corrective actions
• Support customer audits, third-party inspections, and quality compliance activities
• Develop, improve, and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, inspection reports, and related documentation
• Monitor quality performance and identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization
• Assist with hands-on inspection activities and provide technical guidance as needed
• Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization

Qualifications:

• Background in fabrication, welding, structural steel, pressure vessels, industrial equipment, or similar industries
• Previous supervisory, team lead, or leadership experience
• Strong understanding of welding processes, fabrication methods, dimensional inspection, and manufacturing quality systems
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Preferred Qualifications:
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
• Experience with AWS and/or ASME codes and standards
• APQP experience
• Familiarity with NDE methods and inspection practices
• Experience within larger, process-driven manufacturing organizations

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional who enjoys balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on involvement while helping a growing organization continue to strengthen its quality systems and processes.
