Akkodis is seeking a Quality/ Reliability Engineer for a Contract with a client in Sterling Heights, MI. The ideal candidate with experience driving manufacturing quality improvements, resolving product and process concerns, and implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Quality/ Reliability Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Lead quality improvement initiatives by investigating manufacturing issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions using 8D and other quality methodologies.
Manage Statistical Process Control (SPC) activities, analyze process data, and identify sources of variation to improve product quality and process capability.
Establish quality targets, critical characteristics, inspection methods, and measurement system requirements to support manufacturing operations.
Collaborate with production, engineering, suppliers, and quality teams to resolve product and process concerns and drive continuous improvement.
Conduct quality assessments, trend analysis, and reporting to monitor performance and ensure compliance with manufacturing and customer requirements.
Support supplier quality management, containment activities, corrective action implementation, and ongoing quality assurance efforts across assigned manufacturing areas.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality, Quality Engineering, or Process Improvement within a manufacturing environment.
Strong expertise in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), root cause analysis, 8D methodology, and corrective/preventive action implementation.
Proven experience leading cross-functional quality investigations, supplier quality activities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools and data analysis techniques.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
