The Quality & Compliance Manager is responsible for assisting the Regional Director of Operations with the oversight of the organization’s compliance and quality program to ensure adherence to OMHSAS, Medicaid, other related regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to develop and maintain a data driven compliance program that ensures adherence to state licensing regulations, Medicaid requirements, Fraud Waste and Abuse requirements and other regulatory/payor source requirements.
  • Establish a system for ongoing monitoring and results reporting of compliance and quality metrics
  • Perform regular compliance audits to identify risks and set priorities for correction
  • Develop and implement staff education regarding regulatory and quality requirements
  • Remain up to date on regulations related to OMHSAS licensed clinics and state Medicaid requirements. Recommend updates to policies/procedures and workflows accordingly.
  • Communicate audit information to Clinic Director and other organizational leadership
  • Assist in development and implementation of corrective action plans
  • Coordinate response to internal departments and oversight bodies for patient complaints
  • Ensure reporting requirements to OMHSAS and Medicaid MCOs are met (ie: critical incident reporting) 

Qualifications:    

  • Bachelor's degree in mental health related field or Healthcare Administration
  • 3+ years of experience in Healthcare Compliance, Management, or Operations
  • Thorough knowledge of PA psychiatric outpatient regulations, behavioral health Medicaid requirements, and best practices
  • Possess collaborative skills and be open to suggestions from team members
  • Superior attention to detail in order to identify and correct non-compliant practices
  • A clear understanding of the financial aspects of the healthcare industry, including Fraud, Waste, and Abuse

New Directions Mental Health is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual compensation for this role is $60,000 - $65,000. Actual compensation may vary based on licensure, experience, market-driven enhancements, and incentive opportunities available for this role. These ranges represent our current standard compensation practices and may be adjusted over time to remain competitive and aligned with organizational needs.
