Quality & Food Safety Supervisor

Position Summary

We are seeking a Quality & Food Safety Supervisor to support USP compliance, laboratory operations, quality systems, and regulatory requirements within a manufacturing environment. This role serves as a backup to site Quality leadership and helps ensure product safety, quality, integrity, and compliance with USP and FDA regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with USP standards, GMPs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support customer complaint investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Assist with regulatory and customer audits.
  • Oversee USP laboratory testing, product release, and GLP programs.
  • Review and maintain SOPs, COAs, quality records, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate USP testing schedules and validation studies.
  • Monitor quality trends and support reporting requirements.
  • Supervise and schedule USP laboratory personnel.
  • Support training programs and promote a strong quality culture.
  • Manage laboratory supplies and equipment needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related scientific field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a USP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing or quality laboratory environment.
  • Knowledge of 21 CFR 210, 21 CFR 211, ICH Q7, and related GMP regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with audits, validation programs, CAPA investigations, and quality systems.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance and product quality.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Grand Saline, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
