Job Title: Quality Manager

Job Description

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the Quality Engineering team, ensuring the integration of quality standards across all value streams. This role emphasizes consistent workmanship through training, feedback, and accountability while monitoring key metrics such as scrap, MRB, non-conformance, and in-process corrections.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and train a high-performing Quality Team with regular feedback and coaching.
  • Monitor and report on scrap, MRB, non-conformance, and in-process correction by value stream.
  • Conduct departmental reporting and lead tier 1 & 2, while supporting tier 3.
  • Deliver targeted improvements towards scrap, MRB, non-conformance, and in-process correction by value stream.
  • Standardize quality standards and processes.
  • Lead customer complaints, corrective & preventative actions, and root cause analysis for sustainable quality improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support and/or lead quality Kaizen.
  • Support new product introduction.
  • Analyze trends, address production issues, and escalate risks impacting customers, products, schedules, or the supply chain.
  • Oversee customer complaints, lead corrective actions, and drive problem-solving initiatives while standardizing quality processes.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer.
  • Bachelor"s degree in Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems.
  • Experience with statistical process control and trend analysis.
  • Lean Manufacturing expertise.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5-Why).
  • Proficiency in statistical software such as SQC Pack or Minitab.
  • Understanding of control plans.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with new product introduction.
  • Previous leadership experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • ASQ CQE certification or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in measurement, inspection, and testing methods, calibration.
  • Familiarity with government contracts (DOD).
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in relevant industries (e.g., FDA, AS9100, IATF).

Work Environment

The work environment offers a recently remodeled facility with a game room area and an extremely clean manufacturing environment. The role involves 50% on-floor time and managing five direct reports. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $58.00/hr.
