Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage, mentor, and coach employees in Quality department.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Purpose: Develops, implements, and coordinates product assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
- Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
- Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
- Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
- Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality.
- Cooperatively works with supplier quality assurance issues acting as liaison with purchasing. Visits and
confers with supplier representatives to obtain information related to product and quality systems.
- Analyzes, evaluates, and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, economic trends, and design and development of new products for consideration by other members of management team.
- Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing market opportunities.
- Cooperates with other top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals.
- Develops initial and subsequent modifications of product assurance program to delineate areas of responsibility, personnel requirements, and operational procedures within program.
- Responsible for inspection equipment to ensure that it appropriate for customer and production needs.
- Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.
- Initiates corrective action process in order to address customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Quality Manager works directly with co-managers to address concerns and requests.
- Stays current in education and training techniques in Quality Assurance and keeps abreast of technology in the workplace.
- Demonstrate leadership commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and coach subordinates on their impact on TEAM QMS objectives.
- Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors' degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, preferred.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Regular attendance
- Ability to react well under pressure/stress
- Ability to communicate with a variety of people, both verbally and in writing
- Knowledgeable or ability to learn Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Teams
