This is a hands-on Quality leadership position where you'll drive daily inspection operations, lead the quality team, and ensure compliance across a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. You'll be responsible for maintaining quality standards, executing inspections, and directly influencing product acceptance and customer satisfaction.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (ISO 9001 / AS9100 / AS9120)
- Perform and oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections
- Make accept/reject/hold decisions and document in ERP
- Execute and approve First Article Inspections (FAIRs)
- Program and operate CMM equipment; train team members
- Lead inspection team workload, priorities, and accountability
- Manage calibration (M&TE) and ensure compliance
- Support source inspections, audits, and customer requirements
- Drive Corrective Actions (CARs) and continuous improvement
- Track and report quality KPIs (defects, returns, OTD, trends)
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- Mechanical Engineering degree or 10+ years of hands-on experience
- Background in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing
- Strong expertise in GD&T and blueprint reading
- Hands-on experience with CMM and inspection tools
- Prior experience as a QC Manager or Senior/Lead Inspector
- Proven ability to drive quality improvements and team performance
- Comfortable working on the shop floor, not just system oversight
