Title: Lab Technician
Location: Greenville, OH
Pay Rate: $25/Hour
Duration: 6 months

Qualifications:
  • 100% onsite
  • Additional medical exams are required along with a drug screening
Medical Clearances Required:
  • Diisocyanates
  • Hearing Conversation Examination
  • Pre-placement Medical History and Physical Examination
  • Respirator (Not SCBA)
Shift Details:
  • Initially: Monday –Friday, 8-hour day shift
  • Post-training: 12-hour rotating shift (including days, nights, weekends, and holidays)
Pre-Employment Requirement:
  • Security headshot required prior to start date
    • Shoulders and full head facing forward
    • White/light-colored solid background (passport-style)
    • High-resolution image
    • No hats

Required Skills:
  • Strong math skills
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong knowledge of analytical techniques
  • Understanding of proper chemical handling, use, storage, and disposal
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS) or Associate’s Degree (AS) in a science field
  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques including hands-on use of HPLC and wet chemistry methods
  • Experience in microbiological analysis
  • Experience with laboratory equipment

Responsibilities:
The QC Laboratory Technician ensures the quality of products by performing physical and chemical analyses of raw materials, in-process, and finished products in support of the manufacturing process. This position primarily works a 12-hour rotating shift and requires flexibility to support vacation coverage, including weekends, holidays, and early-morning training.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Analyze routine raw material, in-process, and finished product samples using laboratory techniques including High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), and other methods such as particle size analyzer, density meter, viscometer, etc.
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation of analytical data according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Escalate out-of-spec materials to QC Lab Supervisor for review
  • Manage inventory of consumables such as HPLC columns, spare parts, reference standards, and control samples
  • Perform routine troubleshooting and maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Identify and implement process improvements in laboratory functions
  • Adhere strictly to established quality, safety, and environmental standards
