Our well-established manufacturing client located in the Capital Region is seeking a Quality Technician to support its quality assurance and production teams. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that products, processes, and documentation meet strict internal standards and customer requirements.

Position Overview
The Quality Technician is responsible for performing inspections, audits, and testing throughout the production process to ensure all products meet defined specifications and quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with production teams, supervisors, and customer-facing personnel to maintain consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Quality ControlConduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured parts to ensure compliance with specifications and blueprints
Measure dimensions and tolerances using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other specialized equipment
Verify that products meet both internal standards and customer-specific requirements before shipment
Record, analyze, and interpret test results to determine product acceptance or rejection
Auditing & CompliancePerform internal audits of processes and products to maintain adherence to quality standards
Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory and customer requirements
Maintain production records, process flow documentation, and quality logs
Support ongoing safety and loss prevention initiatives
Collaboration & SupportWork closely with manufacturing personnel, supervisors, and customer representatives to address quality- related questions
Provide guidance to production staff regarding materials, processes, and product requirements
Assist in reviewing new and existing products to confirm proper documentation and compliance


QualificationsTechnical certificate or associate/bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
Experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment is highly desirable
Familiarity with blueprint reading and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
Hands-on experience using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (such as SAP) is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills; bilingual abilities (English/Spanish or English/other languages) are a plus
Technical Skills & AbilitiesAbility to perform basic mathematical calculations and unit conversions
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
Capable of interpreting technical documents, drawings, and procedures
Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a team environment
Work Environment & Physical RequirementsManufacturing setting with regular exposure to production equipment and machinery
Frequent standing, walking, and hands-on inspection work
Routine lifting of light to moderate-weight materials
Repetitive tasks and use of inspection tools throughout the workday
Moderate noise levels typical of a production environment
