In addition, the position is adjacently responsible for leadership activities to support all Microbiology Laboratory operations occurring on night shift.What we offer from Day One:Shift flexibility to trade shifts and leverage overtime opportunitiesMedical, Dental and Vision coverage160 hours of Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays401K matchEmployee Stock Purchase ProgramPaid Parental LeaveTuition ReimbursementWhat you'll be doingCoordinate all activities required to occur for assigned shift responsibilities relative to the QC Laboratory including but not limited to:Personnel managementConducting non-conformance investigations within TrackWise 8 for procedural non-compliances and non-conforming resultsAssign tasks, set priorities, and ensure effective performance and development of team membersConduct regular training for staffConduct ACE Check-ins with staff and additional communications as neededEnsure testing is performed accurately and efficiently, following established protocols and standardsOversee the accurate recording and analysis of test results, review results, and address documentation errors in accordance with procedural requirementsEnsure results are provided to document control within specified timeframes for releaseCross train in all areas of the QC Microbiology Laboratory which has staffing represented on night shift to enable troubleshooting of issues and/or guidance as necessaryPerform documentation review of all areas of QC Microbiology Laboratory as assigned by the Quality ManagerTroubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during testing or lab equipmentConduct Phase 1 Laboratory investigations for other areas of the laboratory as neededEnsure that all data is documented properly, and reports are generated and reviewed in a timely mannerImplement and enforce safety protocols and practices within the laboratoryWhat you'll bringB.S. Degree in Life Science Field (e.g. Biology, Microbiology, related)Minimum of 5 years of experience or Master's Degree in biological science with applied experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical device industryKnowledge of aseptic technique and microbiological testing according to FDA, cGMP, GLPs, and USP testing methodologyComputer skills including knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel)Able to manage multiple tasks/priorities in a timely mannerAble to work independently and manage time to complete assigned tasksAbility to create an environment that values people, encourages trust, and open communication through feedback and recognitionWorking Conditions:Laboratory and Manufacturing environmentsPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required within specified areas. The estimated base salary for this position is $96,000 - $132,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
