Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Perform incoming inspection of raw materials and components to ensure they meet specified requirements.
2. Conduct in-process inspections to identify any potential issues or non-conformities in the production process.
3. Initiate corrective actions to address identified quality issues and prevent their recurrence.
4. Adhere to and enforce strict compliance with AS9100 quality management system standards.
5. Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools. Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is highly preferred.
6. Document inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into quality database.
7. Collaborate with the engineering team to implement and improve quality control programs.
8. Provide technical guidance and training to junior inspection staff as needed.
9. Participate in internal and external audits, as well as quality assurance testing of prototypes and production samples.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Inspector role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proficient in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
3. Proven experience in conducting incoming and in-process inspections.
4. Demonstrated ability to initiate and implement effective corrective actions.
5. In-depth knowledge of AS9100 quality management system or similar.
6. Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools. CMM experience is highly preferred.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
9. Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
